Windswept Software, LLC AWARDED contract to develop QA Workstation for Canadian Immigration Permanent Resident Card.

The Canadian Immigration Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) provides a highly secure means of controlling immigration across the Canadian border.

East Falmouth, MA May 5, 2002--Windswept Software announces that it has been awarded the contract to develop the Quality Assurance Workstation Software to support the Canadian Permanent Resident Card. Expanding on previous work done for the US Dept. of State and I.N.S. via Information Spectrum, Inc., Windswept will develop software that allows Customs Agent to read and compare security information encoded on the PR Card, validate its integrity, and compare it to a master Oracle database.

PR Card uses highly secure Laser Optical Card Technology

The PR Card is built on a Laser Optical Card from LaserCard Systems, Inc. of Mountain View, CA. This technology provides the highest level of security for such cards by encoding and encrypting the holder's information directly into the physical media. Windswept has a reputation for rapidly developing application level software to interface with such cards. Our close working relationship with Lasercard virtually eliminates the typical overhead for such projects
